Product Information

Robert DeNiro stars in his directorial debut as Lorenzo Anello, a dutiful father and blue-collar bus driver from the harsh New York City borough of the Bronx whom tries desperately to keep his son Calogero from surrendering to the temptation of organized crime. When Calogero witnesses Mafia kingpin Sonny (Chaz Palminteri) commit murder, he decides to honor the "code of the streets" and offers no information to the cops when interrogated. Consequently, a friendship is forged between Sonny and Calogero, and--against his father's wishes--the young man joins the Mafia. Calogero respects his father, though can not seem to shake his new lifestyle, but when push comes to shove it is his father who must confront the mob and save his son's life, leaving Calogero to re-examine the magnitude of his father's honest work ethics.

    wise guy story of young negro /caucasian love in a time of neutralized anal activity set in a religious empire of conscious duality frenzied before italian 1950's backdrop of surppressed homosexual activity only gleened where loving families torn apart by the ruthless anal dreams of a father and s sons love of the big tall hansome mobster that runs the neighborhood and the mobsters love for a little boy who may possiby want the mans advances or possibly not and the gang of young hoodlums who need relief of their teenage sexual thoughts by hating all the blacks on the other side of town and how they want to smoke cigarettes and sit on street corners and sing about a love of homosexual passion and waylaid hostility of man thoughts in a world of dense baggy pants where the posterior is ...

    Awesome movie!

    I actually played a role in this movie with my dad. He is the guy who gets shot over the parking space. I bought for a collectors piece. Love it thanks!!

    First time and only time i was able to watch this movie before it

    The video tape broke inside the vcr the first and only time i was able to watch the movie. The length wise sqaure plastic piece that protects the film of the tape broke off entirely. Leaving the film exposed. I was gonna pop the piece back onto the tape but was unable to because the one corner (where the piece and tape connect) broke off.
