Gun Digest Remington 870 - commercial photography and little else.
So I thought that this glossy and well-presented volume might have more depth to it. Rather than being a history of the mark, or containing detailed technical specs. this is simply a collection of Remington Advertising literature, interspersed with very general comments and recollections of the author that are really of no substance. There is a detailed diagram of an 870, with all the parts numbered, and then there is no legend to decipher what is what? I'm glad that I didn't pay full price for this book as it is a very disappointing read and there is almost nothing in it that could ever be considered as 'reference' material. The Wikipedia article re: the Remington 870 is truly more informative.....don't waste your money.
