    It's a cliche to say, however; it really does exactly what it says on the tin.

    A truly magnificent Danny Boyle opening ceremony that eclipses every other opening ceremony before it. Then the stars and newcomers to the challenge that awaits them is a fantastic coming together of the very best of humanity to stand up for the challenge , the excitement and the glory of releasing the training, the pain and the power of competing against each other for the glory of showing the world what awaits them. Both competitors and onlookers too, I cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone who wants to relive the pain and the ecstasy of competing in the worlds most prestigious sporting event that the world has to offer.

    Great piece of historic value

    Well worth the money. I got mine so the younger grandchildren can look at this historic event. Opening and closing ceremonies are outstanding. It changed the face of the lee valley and surrounding area, beautifully documented well worth the price. Grab a little piece of history while you can.

    Watched this when it went out live ,it was so fantastic just wanted to see it again proud and emotional

    Awww memories...

    Wanted to see the excellent opening ceremony again before watching Rio. Just love the 2012 games, and was sad when I lost recordings of it on my digi recorder. So glad this was on Dvd to keep. Some great memories...
