Synopsis
Offers insight into the key economic, social, and political developments that have shaped both the individual countries of South Asia and the region as a whole., Combining factual information with a critical approach which probes the nature of culture and identity, this concise yet authoritative account paints a graphic picture of an area stretching from the Indian Ocean to the Himalayan mountains. This new edition surveys nearly 5000 years, from the early settlers of prehistory to the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi and the Tamil Tiger conflicts. Particular emphasis is placed on the last 200 years, while the key theme of shifting regional identities underpins its insights in to the social, economic and spiritual past of the region., Combining factual information with a critical approach which probes the nature of culture and identity, this concise yet authoritative account paints a graphic picture of an area stretching from the Indian Ocean to the Himalayan mountains. - s***a (97)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufOriginal despatch of the book from Australia was delayed and I had to chase it up when it didn't arrive. The seller apologised and offered a refund but I opted to wait. The missing book was then sturdily packed, speedily despatched, and arrived quickly and in pristine condition so I am happy I waited. Though they got off to a bad start, the seller redeemed themselves and I would buy from them again. The Amber Owl by Juliet Marillier [Paperback, 416 pages] (Nr. 167406523405)
- r***7 (837)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufThis Seller is the Very Best. From First Contact to Delivery no one can surpass how Fantastic they are. Expertly Packed item, Fast Delivery and arrived in Perfect Condition. The price charged was competitive but not greedy and the postage the cost you would expect. They answered any enquiries quickly and full of the right information. I am so very, very pleased with this purchase and the Brrrrrilliant Seller. Thank you so very, very much. Keep doing what you are doing. Fantastic!Mending the Motocross Champion by Jean C. Gordon [Paperback] (Nr. 167190986672)
- 1***d (10185)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufQuiried where the order was after nearly two weeks, was told it was sent by various operatives, it was marked as dispatched, then I was told I’d get a full refund as suppliers could not supply, but book was still listed but now at a higher price. Once I chased up the refund I was refunded and had to buy the book elsewhere. Disappointed-Yes, confused with conflicting statements-Yes, fully refunded-Yes, had to buy elsewhere-Yes. Other buyers warn of caution, I should have taken this warning!
