Great box set. Bad design.
Having the entire series of Stargate-SG1 in one box set is amazing. The disc holders are good. The box itself is good but hard to display with your other box sets due to size. I love the stargate on the box. The downfall to this set is that the glue that hold the disc holders to the 2 gold binders does not hold. I wish the designers went with a better way to store the discs but oh well. If you want the entire 10 seasons of SG1 on DVD in a nice displayable box set, this is your set.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Gotta love this series and this set is great
We didn't get into the series until the fifth season until apparently after it had moved from showtime or something like that to the sci-fi channel which I did not know about until recently, so we watched the pilot episodes children of the gods on the original season one box set before the remaster of the children of the gods episode, and was very surprised not in a good way to see full frontal nudity on Shar'Ra which I've never seen before even though I've seen this episode many times, just never on the original DVD set, and I think this set has the nudity removed so it's more family friendly version. Since we started watching in the fifth season we of course had to buy the box sets to watch from the beginning to catch up and never watched them on DVD til recently but now we started watching from the beginning on this complete series set and so far it's amazing as always, the box set looks really cool and doesn't appear to be flimsy as far as I can tell, there is a chance for disc degradation from removal and reinsertion into the disc holders so be careful and make sure you lightly blow off the discs and the sleeves when putting the discs back inside to help minimize scuffing or scratching, the episode guide book is nice in that it lays out the episodes on the discs to help keep things in order, overall this is a cool set and I love the way it looks and the 3D Stargate on the front really adds to the overall look of the box set. If you have the original individual box sets like we do and have kids you might like the no nudity, were not prudes you know, but we don't feel the need for nudity on a show like this and it's nice that they removed it from the remastered children of the gods episode, if your happy with the original separate seasons sets then you won't gain much with this set other then it takes up less then a third of the space of 10 separate sets and it is well laid out and organized in two separate disc holders like fold out books, we will probably give away our separate sets or pack them away in case we ever need them or want to use them again? But for this set we are pretty happy with the layout and the looks of the packaging, if you don't already have the separate sets and want this set instead, then shop around and find this at a good deal because it's worth the price if you can find it for a good deal and in excellent condition as we did Love it and will watch it for years, you will too, but other then the smaller size and four special features discs the individual sets and the complete sets are fairly similar, this set just looks cooler and has more special features discs and stuff so it's all about what you prefer or wantBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Best Sci Fi TV series ever

Sci-Fi at it's Best --Plus Richard Dean Anderson from Minnesota !!!
I only became a fanatic of the SG -1 series after it had already ended and had to rely on reruns to see the show. Now I plan on starting at the beginning and enjoying the series show by show in order. I am a Eric Von Donekken / Chariots of the Gods fan and enjoy the Ancient Aliens series which is echoed in much of this SG-1 series. Awesome series
