First one ordered
When I received the item it didn't work only to find out that the included batteries had exploded all over the unit so I sent it back and am now waiting on a cashiers check. So I asked the second unit owner to please check this issue out before cashing the check. If the batteries are leaking all over the unit again she will send my check back but I have to wait until she returns from vacation around Thanksgiving.

Worx great. However, I wish i had order the larger unit. At least 11". Even so, has proven v helpful w leftovers, creating portions, dry and otherwise. Perfect for wet contents that otherwise can get messy w vacuum.sealers. highly recommend. Pays for itself immediately

Batteries ALL dead!
The first Reynolds Handi Vac didn't work at all!! I thought the button did not move was the problem. I simply ordered another one. I did NOT work either. So I went out bought a whole set of batteries AND that did the trick. I suppose the other one just NEEDS betteries also. I didn't sent tt back because the SHIPPING cost as much as the Prodoct, If you want to make me whole; send me 10 bucks. The works just fine and the price was right. Jerrold

Easy to use
I love this handi-vac for small jobs. I thought it would be less expensive because I found Zip-Lock vacuum bags locally. Assuming they would have worked properly, it would have been much cheaper than the rolls I buy for my Food Saver. The three bags that come with the Handi-Vac work very well. The Zip-Lock vacuum bags, however, appear to work well, but within minutes, it's easy to see there is air in the bag. A second round of vacuuming doesn't correct the problem. I won't be buying those bags again but there lies the problem. The bags for the Handi-Vac are fairly expensive. I'm not sure I'll be using it much because of the cost of the bags but it does work well and works quickly.

Works great. Bags are about 50 cents each. Replacing batteries is a bit cumbersome, as it requires a screwdriver to remove cover. I believe this product has been discontinued by manufacturer.

When arrived didn't have a chance to use right away
Used on day 7, packaged with battery inside unit, they were totally corroded and damaged the unit Itself, replacing batteries did not help. On packaging label indicated 2010, why would any distributor not have a protective plastic thing between the batteries and connection to be removed prior to first use?! Total waste of $$$

Ridiculous! Claimed to be new ,batteries had been in it rotted acid leaked doesnt work dried acid so when i took them out it pulled terminals out wit
They claimed it was new. Batteries had been left in it wS rotted acid leaked and dried so when i took the bats out they took the rerminals with it. Doesnt work at all!

I was really disappointed with this item...
I was really disappointed with this item as the batteries were corroded in it. So I opened it up and put new batteries in it and it works fine now.

Works as it should?
Our use is "off label". It works great as the needed vacuum component of our goat milking machine. I cannot attest to its intended capabilities, but am very pleased with its operation.
