Most riveting action series I have ever watched~!
Most riveting action series I have ever watched~! I was in combat arms for over 20 years, and----while this is still not totally accurate & draws upon fantasy----"The Last Ship" gives a solid accounting of world despots, defense problems, spec ops, planning, and international subterfuge. The look at military politics is also very close to real. However, the quality control on the discs was a bit lacking. Three of the discs had serious coding drop-outs on the last episode on each. Missed the last 20 or so minutes I recommend this series to anyone who likes a combo of combat action and sci-fi epidemiology.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Excellent story in a very nice presentation package.
This is a great story. It catches the imagination and runs with it throughout. My only problem was it disappeared off of the TV station I was watching it on well before the series was completed, so I missed a good number of the episodes and had no idea how it ended. Thanks to DVD sets I can now catch all of the action and plot development that I missed. Great series minus a scratched unwatchable disc
This is a great series and I cannot wait for the 7th season as I am hooked! My only problem and reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the 2nd disc in the 5th season was unwatchable. Under light I could see scratches in the surface. I tried cleaning and got it past spot it jammed on but it continued to do so. I finally gave up in frustration and skipped those episodes which was disappointing. "Exciting and worth every penny!"
What a great series! I can hardly stop watching and will be anxious for the ending. It is quite remarkable how some of the happenings in this series seem to be mirroring what is happening in our world today. I love how they portray how things work on the destroyers and also how this band of U.S. Navy men and women defeat and conquer the bad guys. It is very exciting! Hard To Stop Watching!
From the moment I started watching this, I was hooked on the movie! It was very hard to stop watching! Although it does have a lot of action and violence in it, what really draws you in are the relationships between the characters in it. Also, being married to a military man myself, that made it just as great, and makes me appreciate just what our men/women in uniform does to keep us safe abroad! Season 5 difficult to find

Awesome Apocalypse !
This series has one of my favorite childhood after school special characters. The actor that portrays the XO to the Captain, who also is awesome , played the protector in My Bodyguard, and wore an Army Field Jacket. Then he was in Full Metal Jacket in the Viet Nam battles. Watched every Episode
Living in Rural America often only has one Channel of TV Reception. I didn't know this Series existed until I was able to Stream it on Hulu. It's believable and realistic. It's tough when some pf the Major Characters leave the Show (have to die) but others step up and take their place just like they would in real life. Finally saw the whole series.
Excellent portrayal of trying to deal with the past sins of humanity in America. The two lead characters, Walt and Henery Standing Bear show us different cultures can love one another. The Last Ship Complete Series on DVD is a great buy.
Each season our in a separate case, with a booklet with episode listings and synopsis. Also, buying all five seasons in one package costs less money than buying the seasons individually.
