Great Product
I did a lot of research when choosing which bluetooth OBD2 module to buy. It's a very confusing market since there are tons of cheap bootleg / stolen designs of the Elm Electronics ELM327 micro controller. From what I found, many claim these bootleg designs are usually missing features and have reliability issues. I picked the OBDLink LX for several reasons. - It's a higher quality construction than most ELM327 knockoffs. - The OBDLink LX uses a completely different chip (the STN1110) which has several huge benefits. It is MUCH faster, since the chip has better throughput (Manufacturer claims 10x as fast). The STN1110 chip is firmware upgradeable (unlike any ELM 327 chip) so it can support future upgrades to the OBD2 spec. If you want an affordable OBD2 reader that's high quality, reliable ,and fast. The OBDLink LX bluetooth reader is a great choice!

Worked great for my 01 blazer, 96 tahoe! Did not have live gauges on my 03 vw passat, which I hoped it would tell me boost psi! So it doesn't work for most imports!? Not vw anyways! Otherwise it's a great product!!

Necessary Gadget
Im very pleased with this product , it tells you any error code for your vehicle and you could use it as a cluster also , it shows RPM , MPH , Coolant Temp , and some kind of gas measurement , the only little complaint I have is the pair procedure its a little confusing and also It doesn't want to pair to my android radio that got Bluetooth , but overall its a great product.

Took some figuring out to get started but the features and software appear powerful and versitile.
I did have difficulty installing the software and finally determined that Windows Defender controlled folder access settings were the problem. Unfortunately, it was a struggle since the support community pages offered little help figuring it out. The vendor did respond quickly to my inquiries and although he did not have the answer he did get me to think critically about the error messages and I finally turned off the folder protection and it compiled. The software offers good tools for diagnosing issues, logging engine parameters and displaying data. I don't have enough experience with it for a complete evaluation. Not much in the way of documentation but I'm old fashioned that way. It takes time to learn how to use any new diagnostig tool. Hopefully, the unit will last a long time so at this point I can't say it is a quality made and durable electronic device. I am pleased with it so far.

great product
I bought this per advice. It reads the CMP retard PID for the 96+ gmc truck. It also updated the firmware as they claimed. Very pleased.

Purchase the OBDlink LX before others you cannot ho erong.
The OBDlink LX works great and has options similar product at the same cost do not have. For one it shuts off if it does not have a connection when I shut off my truck so the truck battery does not lose charge. Also fast communicationspeed which gives real time data. I was surprised by the 2 day priority shipping.

Not worth the plastic it is molded from
This works when it wants to, and never for long. Either the bluetooth bugs out or UI shut the car off and It just never comes back on. I had hoped top use this for digital instrumentation in my car but it is so unreliable that it has ended up being an overpriced paperweight.

Works
Works pretty good but took a few times to get cell phone to connect. Need to spend some more time before I would leave connected. Unit appears to stay on anytime it is connected to ODB2 connector (with current settings).

OBD data streamed securely and effortlessly to your phone!
Hi Quality and very easy to use. My only minor complaint would be that it continues to use power if you leave it plugged in after you shut the car off. Integrates well with the 3rd party phone app "Track Addict" for streaming car telemetry data.

High Quality OBD Adapter
High quality OBD adapter. Not like the various cheap knock offs that won't send longer messages or keep dropping the connection. I use this with my BMW motorcycle and with the correct app it works flawlessly, allowing me to read and clear fault codes, as well as code the motorcycle.
