Good book to research why people were executed during the late 1800's through 1960's
After visiting Moundsville penitentiary on one of their public tours I decided to purchase this book to follow up on the displayed photos of those who were condemned to execution at that Gothic prison. The book is interesting and an easy read as most of the research is brief from newspaper sources. It is interesting to see how easily the death sentence was handed out 100 years ago compared to the rigors of using it today.
