I had forgot all about Rainbow by the time this album was released, but discovered it recently and was blown away by it! Best Rainbow album since Rainbow rising, in my opinion. Great songs from start to finish, and some of Blackmores best playing ever. Excellent band here, and fine vocals by Doogie White. This is a hidden hard rock gem!
Underrated album. I guess a lot of people kinda forgot about Rainbow after Dio and Cozy. I wasn't crazy about the last 2 albums with Joe Lynn Turner. No one ever talked about this album, I just got it after all these years and to my surprise it's really good. This was a great way for Blackmore to end his hard Rock career.
This isn't fantastic just because the Rainbow name is attached to it. Ritchie could have called this album dung heep and it would still be a masterpiece of rock and roll. Highly recommended!
