Furthermore, this Pentax camera lens offers a diagonal APS-C field of view at 32 degrees and a horizontal APS-C field of view at 27 degrees. The diaphragm in this Pentax camera lens is automatic and the lens accepts 49 mm filters so that photographers can add an artistic touch to a photograph. The infrared focusing mark on this Pentax SMC Takumar lens is located to the left of the number four on the DOF scale.     A nice lens.

    It is in nice condition, works very well , and focus is smooth, as is the stop down, went for this one because it looked the better of those on offer at the time of purchase. I was initially looking for the 8 element model, but these proved very expensive and pretty hard to locate.The mention of the 8 blade aperture is interesting, and thought all the 50 mm Pentax lenses might be 8 bladed, perhaps I am mistaken, shall google it.Have tried it out on my Nikon DSLR, with an adaptor,and it performs very well so far, shall try it on film when time permits.It fits in well with my 35mm of the same era.

    Nice little lens

    The sharpness of the pictures is good. Seems to be as good as any of my Nikon primes. Not bad for a lens of this age!
