Works very good.
Ordered this kinda blind for my A. O. Smith water heater. Fit inside water heater perfect, Leads were a little long, but a CAREFUL loop about 3 inches wide on them, and I was able to get them hooked up fine, and covered with the shroud. Easy, perfect
when our water heater stopped working I was afraid I would have to spend over 150 to have it fixed. I was happy to see this assembly available and for a reasonable price. Came with instructions, new gasket and filters. It looks as if it may be refurbished, but that was okay with is for 30+ bucks. And it works like new. Very pleased. Replace the thermocouple and maintain safety at a reasonable price
The water heater would not remain lit. Cleaning the thermocouple did not help. The t/c has a small disk-shaped device that a standard replacement t/c does not have. The local hardware store said the device is a resistor and we had to replace the entire burner assembly at a cost of $285 if we wanted the resistor. But most plumbers say you can replace it with a standard t/c. The 'resistor' is in fact a high temperature switch. The heater has a sealed combustion chamber, with the air coming through a filter, that can plug and cause a lazy flame condition. The high temp switch is to shut off the gas if this occurs. Do it yourself!

It works
arrived one day early. It is a poor design that requires the replacement of this whole assembly at about $50 when the faulty part is the thermocouple that should cost less than $10. That being said, this part does the job and my water heater is working again.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
