Product Information

This melodramatic, intelligent action film, which provides a complex look at the fall of British colonialism in Africa, stars Richard Attenborough as a by-the-books sergeant in a British colony. He is in charge of transferring authority to new leadership in the newly independent colony, but when African officer Lt. Boniface (Errol John) instigates a rebellion, the previously immovable Sergeant is forced to examine his own rigid beliefs.

    As described, arrived quickly, seller was very helpful with figuring alternative shipping options and picking the most appropriate. There was some trouble with the treatment received by the package at Customs, definitely not the seller's fault, on the contrary he's helped a lot in understanding who/what/where caused the issue.     Guns At Batasi is a real blast.

    First i like the letterbox version which shows everything intended by the original producers. It's an excellent value for those who like a historical context for action flicks. The film is a character study and shows some of the psychological motivations of the key players. Action is intelligently woven into the plot. It has romance also . . . something for almost everyone. Black and white is no obstacle to enjoyment in this case.
