Has Design Flaws and slippery bottom
This can opener has design flaws, it doesn't have any rubber at the base or any way to secure the base to a counter. When trying to use it, it is somewhat awkward to get the can in place because the magnetic piece that holds the can lid once cut is a flip type part so if you don't get the can in place on the first try then it flip away then you have to put it back to the horizontal position again before trying to place the can again, all this while trying to hold the can opener in place due to no rubber at the base which is sliding on the counter. Also if you have to open a large can then you must hold the can opener so that it doesn't tip over from the size and weight of the can. Very good can opener
The Proctor Silex can opener works great, quieter than my last can opener, but it is easy to tip over and there is nothing on the bottom of the can opener so it does slide around . But, for $10.00, it is a good price.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great purchase
Perfect for my needs. I have developed weakness in my hands and decided I needed to purchase an electric can opener. No difficulties anymore. Love the added knife sharpener. Careful packing the cord
The product is fine add I knew it would be by the name. I trust Procter Silex and as long as I don't buy it at Walmart, I didn't think twice about it. It came with the cord too tightly wound up and stuck in the cord holder in the back of opener by the prongs which hurt my arthritic fingers trying to get that out.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

WORKS AS ADVERTISED
This a a basic can opener which can handle taller cans. It also sharpens knives on the back of appliance. This is my second can opener from Proctor-Silex . This product does the job and opens cans neatly and safely. Supporting the taller cans with you hand underneath and positioning the cans on the edge of the counter will assist you in opening heavier cans. Looks good but defective
