Mine arrived in a very thin retail cardboard box inside a very thin vinyl envelope: it had a bend on the bottom but contact to seller was impossible so I'm stuck with that. Shipping quality should be an item you can always comment on in feedback to seller, don't know when eBay will finally realize its importance and include it in a category of its own in the feedback page!
