Life Pod. A futuristic re-telling of Hitchcock's Life Boat.
This film is an old favorite of mine which I had been unable to find through the retail outlets. The premise (Based upon Hitchcock's Life Boat) is that a group of survivors from a Space Liner's destruction are thrown together in a life pod.Unbeknown to the majority, the Liner was sabotaged, and the saboteur is among them. As slowly the survivors are killed off, the saboteur is eventually revealed and in a showdown, two more survivors meet their end, but he is caught and all ends when they are rescued. A very bad (but actually good) trip...
I liked this movie when I first saw it back in the day and it holds up. A tense, depressing character study of personalities laid bare in a lifeboat lost in the abyss of deep space. Well done!
