Pretty Good Book, Though The Batman Has Some Flaws
I was really excited to be able to read this prequel book before watching the new "The Batman" movie again. And the book was a little better than I expected, however, it left a strange taste in my mouth. This definitely is an origin Batman prequel story where Batman does a lot of the things he does without a lot of personal connection or sense of responsiblity. But I think that's the point of this version of Batman. The movie expresses how he learns that sense of responsibility and learns how he needs to be a symbol of hope. Overall this compressed, which seems a little too compressed at times, origin prequel book is pretty good! Just wish it would have been a smidge better.
