Created by former marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg, Nickelodeon's hugely popular cartoon series SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS chronicles the wacky adventures of an overly enthusiastic sea sponge and his oceanic pals in the underwater town of Bikini Bottom. Living in a pineapple home with his meowing, catlike pet snail, Gary, the fry-cook sponge (inimitably voiced by Tom Kenny) happily flips Krabby Patties at a fast food restaurant owned by the moneygrubbing Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown)--that is, when he's not engaging in nautical nonsense with his dimwitted starfish friend, Patrick (Bill Fagerbakke); annoying his tentacled and perennially grouchy neighbor and coworker, Squidward (Rodger Bumpass); visiting the displaced Texan squirrel, Sandy Cheeks (Carolyn Lawrence); or fending off the megalomanic plans of the evil protozoan, Plankton (Doug Lawrence). Employing a vibrantly colorful animation style that bears the distinct influence of REN & STIMPY, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS has become a veritable pop-culture phenomenon that appeals to children and adults alike with its wholesome, yet slyly subversive, brand of goofy humor (as well as an impossibly catchy theme song).     Did everything they needed to and when USPS messed up they personally made sure that it didn’t happen again and I got it quick within I think 3 days even with that problem with the shipping other than that everything about this experience with the seller was top notch and very professional for a eBay seller and in general better work and communication then most companies that ship products definitely deserves a 5 star also first time buyer on eBay so this was a very good first impression with it

    Spongebob at his finest, first episodes

    This DVD set has a lot of the classic Spongebob from the first season. My most favorite episode is "Rock Bottom". F.U.N is also another funny episode. If you like to remember when the show started, this is the DVD set for you.

    Ahoy Matey, SpongeBob is here!!

    I'm so happy to watch my childhood in the 1990's. This season is special and should be considered watching for all generation to come. I timeless novelty that has been a wonderful enjoyment to relive in my adult years.

    Sister really loves it

    Well it's definitely a great and funny show to watch. My sister loves SpongeBob and I finally decided to start her off with Season 1. We haven't finished it all yet, but when we do, we'll be ready for the next season.

    All the greats

    Anyone who has ever watched or heard of spongebob knows at least 5 episodes in this season. It’s a classic. It’s timeless and just as fantastic as when it first aired back in 1999.
