I was able to use the rubber mounting material to resurface the existing brackets. So in a "Do it Yourself" way, the supports kinda worked. It would have been much easier if the supports I purchased could have replaced the worn out ones with out any modifications. I will be happy to return the ill fitting metal brackets if you would like to resurface them with new mounting rubber.
