Great function, terrible accuracy

Dead battery scale
This came with flat 2032 dead battery therefore don't know if it works. I never buy anything that isn't AA or AAA powered but somehow failed to notice this scale had the 2032 . Not what I was hoping for
When it arrived I opened it and pulled the tap from the battery, and it wouldn't power up. I reinstalled the battery and it would barely read. There seems to be a connection issue.
