Product Information

The "2012" edition of Tiger Woods PGA Tour is the first in the long-running golf series to feature a virtual re-creation of the famous Augusta National Golf Club, and allow players to compete for the coveted green jacket. The PlayStation 3 version of the game is also the first to support the PlayStation Move accessory, allowing players to take their swings using one-to-one motion control. The game's new "Tiger at the Masters" mode re-creates each of Woods' four Masters wins, and challenges players to match (or beat!) his scores.<br><br>Another 23 virtual versions of real-life courses come standard in the game, as well, including St. Andrews, The Royal Melbourne, and Pebble Beach. Through each hole in the tournament, a computer-controlled caddie is available to offer situational advice on strategy, shot selection, and green-reading. The game incorporates many of the series' other signature features, including a career mode in which players can develop a custom character and lead him onto the PGA tour. In other modes, gamers can golf as or against more than 20 professional stars of the sport. PGA Tour 12 also offers a revamped broadcast-style presentation, with commentary from Jim Nantz and David Feherty.

    Not bad...

    Masters seems to be a bit stripped down compared to standard PGA tour. There is no money, you simply unlock items by gaining sponsorship levels. IMO, this took away from the feel of building a custom character. I miss features like "Target Golf" and other mini-games. As far as online content goes, PSN no longer seems to even have courses for you to purchase anymore, so there are alot of courses you won't be able to play on, since you cannot purchase them. Also, as of writing this (July 2017), there is absolutely no one online playing this game. All of that said, I purchased it for a multiplayer game to keep around the house. It suits that purpose. The gameplay is still fun, and making a long putt is still suspenseful. All in all, I think I paid $6 dollars to buy this game used, and it ...

    Go to game!

    This is my go to game as lockdown continues. Very enjoyable way to pass time...my kids now are kicking me off the game.. I'm a game hog now..haha.
