Excellent kit and a must for any Star Wars fan and/or modeler!
Bandai has created an excellent kit at 1/6 scale this one knocks it out of the park. Their 1/12 scale figures are great, but at this scale everything is much improved for detail and display! I hope this is the first of many more 1/6 scale figures to come. I found this kit to be excellently made. Goes together well. Has options for weapons and parts for posing. 5 STARS!!!! AWESOME!!!!
For starters, I collect Hot Toys/Sideshow figures. My wife bought this for me for Christmas knowing that I wanted more Stormtroopers for my Star Wars cabinet. I am so glad she did because I never would have. This was so fun putting together and watching it take shape. The instructions are in Japanese but the pictures are super easy to follow and its literally a SNAP to put together, pun intended because they snap together. This looks fantastic, other than the armpit gaps but I'm going to fix that with black shrink wrap. The articulation is phenomenal and puts ALL of my Hot Toys figures to shame! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bandai model figures and already have others on order! Can't wait to get them in the mail and start building! Can buy 4 to 5 of these for the price of one Hot Toys Trooper. ... The Best Bandai Model Available!
I originally bought the small version of this model and have it displayed with the other Bandai models that I've built (Darth Vader, Boba Fett, etc.). When I saw the 1/6 version I knew that I had to have it because it just LOOKED cool, but at $60+ I was hesitant. In reality I should have bought it a lot sooner because it's the best model in my collection! The articulation is insanely good (check out the articulation in the feet!) This means that it can be displayed in all of the poses that you see in the photos! The details on this model are spot on; from the helmet to the utility belt and holster -- you won't find a better Stormtrooper on the market. I will say that the connection in the arms to the chest are what I hate the most. They pop out way too easy, so I wound up actually ... This is a great kit Rae little painting is necessary they do provide decals to take care of the painting but I'd rather use paint my only criticism of the kid is there give you the decal instructions at the end instead of along the way in the instructions because some items have to be decal prior to assembly. I finished mine in about 4 hours very careful trimming is required the completed model looks very good certain plastic surfaces that were underneath the armor I painted with a flat clear to give it more of a fabric look Since it was a Star Wars contest I wanted to mix it up and make it a more unusual so I decided to make Star Wars and Star Trek together I ordered 1:6 scale Spock head and put it on top of the Stormtrooper had them hold the helmet and title did Alien recruit everybody ... Perfect army building trooper!
It arrived crazy quick and started building it the moment it arrived. Putting it together is pretty straight forward. Once assembled you just need to add a few decals or stickers if you want and you have a great cheap 1/6 stormtrooper figure. It looks great next to my hot Toys Vader ! I will definitely buy another one since troopers are never alone hahaha. And I hope they will make more versions of him too.
