The controls on my old mini didnt work before, as old alpine unit in, but upgraded and bingo! (I was surprised). Just read the instructions carefully, depending on you head unit brand you may need to do some simple wiring, but the instructions are there. Just a suggestion, but a little video would be useful to give us a head start.
