    An excellent repair kit for BMW E46 driver's door locks that don't operate with the key!

    BMW E46 cars have a common problem with the driver's door lock cylinder not working. You insert the key and turn either direction and nothing happens. The most likely cause is an internal ring that has broken in half, therefore the key doesn't operate to unlock or lock the car. This kit has the pieces to replace the internal parts of the lock cylinder. You don't really need all of them but you can replace all if you wish so that the cylinder is completely rebuilt. There are easy to access and follow Youtube videos to guide you through the repair. It is easy to do, but be watchful of how the parts go together. By buying this kit you spend less than $10, rather than over $100 for the whole lock cylinder. And certainly doing it yourself saves you the labor cost that the dealer or a shop would ...

    Good, not great...re-use OEM parts where you can

    Great value which is why I gave it a 4. The parts work but definitely not the quality of the OEM. I used the collar where mine broke but re-used all the other OEM parts. The spring broke immediately but fortunately the OEM spring was still in good shape.

    Works very well

    The kit is complete with everything you need to rebuild the mech . They are not as nice quality as the factory parts, but they are designed to fail to prevent break in. I recommend using a quality grease when assembling to prevent future failure.

    Very happy with purchase
