When 15 year-old Kagome Higurashi falls down a well, she finds herself magically transported to medieval Japan, a place inhabited by demons and goblins. Here, she must search the countryside with the demon dog Inuyasha for the sacred "Jewel of Four Souls." Inuyasha is half human and half demon. The jewel, now broken into shards, would fulfill Inuyasha's desire to become full-fledged demon. Inexplicably drawn to Inuyasha, Kagome suspects she could be the reincarnation of Kikyo, a woman from Inuyasha's past. In these episodes, the battle against the dreaded Muso continues. In his fury, Muso recalls broken memories of a past with Inuyasha and Kikyo, and he sheds new light on his sordid fascination with Kagome. After Inuyasha shatters Muso, Naraku tries to absorb parts of Muso into his own body. Inuyasha consults with the sword-maker Totosai to learn how to surpass the limitations of his magical sword, the Tetsusaiga.
