    SB-24 , Quality made , great value and easy to use.

    This model of flash was introduced back in 1988 and although it is not useable in the current ttl modes on digital slrs it is listed in the manuals as being compatable when used in manual & non ttl Auto , I have found the latter to be very accurate and the manual mode easy to use in conjunction with the histogram on the dslr. Build quality is much better than the modern low-mid range nikon flashes of today and I prefer the sb-24 sliding switches over the flimsy rotary selection thing on the sb700 which I would not have bought if I had used a sb-24 1st I use my (2) sb-24 flashes of camera on a sc-17 cable and a sc-18 cable to sync the 2nd flash , I find it more reliable than the cls wireless remote system as it works every time. In summary a well made in japan flash at low purchase price.

    Speed light

    In a word fantastic flash for Nikon users powerful can be used in manually on other makes of camera I will shortly buying another I am so impressed with with this one

    it's okay

    Arrived in very good time. Good flash but takes quite a while to heat up again after taking a photo, and also if I turn my camera to take a portrait photo the flash screen simply goes blank aka turns off

    A great alternative to the infamous sb28

    Bought this for my camera trap setup as I couldn’t find an sb28 under £100. As these will be left out and run the very high and probable risk of theft I don’t feel comfortable spending a fortune! So far so good, really happy with it.

    A great flash for the Nikon F4

    I haven't used it much yet, but it does what I want it to do and works well with the Nikon F4.
