The epic adventure of Christopher Columbus' (GERALD DEPARDIEU) life of exploration and discovery of America. Columbus persuades Queen Isabel of Spain (SIGOURNEY WEAVER) to back his expedition to reach the east by sailing west in order to find a new trade route to Asia. His attempts to live in peace with the natives in the New World are sabotaged by his followers who seek to exploit the land and the native people. Brilliant believable movie
The music to this movie was playing as we sailed out of pareaus harbour in Greece when we had a northern cyledes cruise on a yacht some years ago. Absolute magic, never forgotten and the movie brings it all to life everytime we watch.

Good film
The actor who portrayed Columbus was good as well as other cast members who played the roles of King and Queen , music also excellent and fits well to story.

What hard life It must of been back then.

Interesting Movie
This is a different view of Christopher Columbus and his journey to find the New World. Very interesting. Great sound track.
