    Mounting and Wiring Easy-Plenty Loud

    Already had one Ford E150 service van that came with this same unit installed on it. It was working great and looked like it was easy to mount so I ordered one for an E250 I had just purchased that did not have a BU alarm on it. On the E series van it can be mounted with one bolt in an existing hole on the drivers side by the spare tire and rest on a channel. Wiring was a breeze. It picks up ground through the mounting bolt. Tapped into the BU light wire at the bulb on the drivers side for the positive side. There is a gap covered with foam in the tail light assembly mounting cavity. Peeled some of the foam out, ran the wire through it to the BU Alarm. Works great and is plenty loud. If you are standing close cover your ears or move away.

    Gets your attention

    I was annoyed that when I was trying to back up my enclosed car trailer, that people would just walk behind it to where I could not see them. So as an an added warning that I was backing up, I added this 97db back up beeper to the back of the trailer. Now at least they can't say they did not know I was backing up. Its loud and annoying!

    Backup beeper

    Great item, have a 30' motorhome and when backing into a site there is always the possibility of kids or animals running behind. I have a backup camera when in reverse but if someone runs fast behind the motorhome I may not catch it in time, with the beeper it alerts everyone I am going in reverse! Easy to hook up since you can use the truck chassis as ground or if not there is still a stud for ground. Item is very rugged and is defiantly loud enough.

    Has a super high intensity chirp! I Have 2 new Ford work vans that both of the original back up alarms went out in the first year, replaced with these and have been going good. They are also louder than the vans original back up alarms.

    You probably don't need a 97dB Alarm

    It is horribly ear piercing, probably only needed 87 dB, I had to put three pieces of duct tape over it. You can't stand behind the truck and help back it up to a trailer without your fingers in your ears. You can barely back the truck up from in the cab without covering your ears... Get the lower dB one, it is all you should need...
