    AAAA++++ SELLER!!!! Book was shipped very quickly and item price was also good. My only complaint is the shipping packaging. This book came loosely placed in a plastic bag so I can't tell if the damage to the dust jacket happened in shipping or it was already in that condition. But, as I already stated, the overall price was good so I shouldn't really complain. Overall, I've had positive experience with hpb-ruby so I'd still definitely recommend buying from them.

    Awesome review of Mother Nature's maternity.

    Coupled with the author's well researched doctorate degree is her beautiful Native American cultural metaphor for the science she has so obviously mastered. Weaving into that science a beautiful spirituality, the completed basket contains a bouquet of holistic richness to blush even the weathered cheeks of Eliza Doolittle.

    Wonderful book!

    This book has drawn me into stories that weave into a feeling of comfort and belonging. It reminds me of the days I spent gardening with my father and grandfather. I would recommend this book. This is a spiral bound copy, so if you want to keep it for the next generation, I would get a hardcover, if available.

    "Braiding" an enlightened path.

    Robin Wall Kimmerer is an amazing writer. She weaves together her background in botany with her Native American heritage and stories to create a poetic look at the state of the human condition and our current relationship with the natural world. She seeks to light again the path that would allow humankind to find its spiritual connection to the greater good as taught by honoring and being grateful to the gifts of our world.

    Braiding Sweetgrass is a holy book to those trying to feel their way home.

    Braiding Sweetgrass is a holy book to those trying to feel their way home, to understand our belonging to this Earth. In Robin, you find an eloquent voice of mourning that follows destruction of the sacred and recovery/reconciliation that is possible if we decide to learn from our plant relatives. You will likely cry and at the end, you will hope. I adore this book as a factual peek to ethnobotany as well as a fine work of literature and cannot recommend it highly enough. I am about to buy her other book, Gathering Moss.

    A must read for everyone

    As an avid reader my entire lifetime, I am putting Robin Wall Kimmerer's book into my top five. The reason is both deeply personal and objectively intellectual, as the subject matter is indigenous wisdom (I am not indigenous) coupled with an over-arching message concerning our human relationship with plants and this planet. I am very much in awe of, and humbled by, this treasure of a book.
