    No Frills... But Works

    I bought this GPS for the built in FM that allows it to update w/ real time traffic. Unfortunately it still takes me on a route backed up with traffic despite there being quicker alternatives. However, I've used this for several road trips and it hasn't left me stranded yet. Finds GPS Signal quick and does a pretty good job staying on track. If you need a basic GPS that's reliable, stick with a Garmin.

    Nuvi 255w Good device for minimal cost

    This model is a great bargain for the used price. It has multiple voices and modes to guide your travels. It can seek out hospital, fire and police stations. I updated mine with 2015 maps and see you need to step up in models. Almost forgot, a new battery is really cheap on ebay ($6)

    Best for the money

    Of course its old. New streets can be missing but a lot of streets are also old. This is that these dedicated small Nuvis are fast and simple and very small. I know... phone. But phones for nav is not really good compared to a dedicated device and after all you might me on the phone. Really nice for motorcycle and if it drops.... eh get another.

    Does not work, hardly at all

    I have been in Israel 3 weeks now, have given up on this Garmin device. Typing in destination of TelAviv gives "not found" trying to switch the language to Hebrew won't allow any change to Hebrew voice so I am totally unable to use it in Hebrew mode. It will show where I am but little else. I wish I could recover my money paid. J. Leff
