    Entertaining with great acting & special effects -- but a bit stretched-out.

    I have mixed feelings about the movie content. While there is more information & background about several of the characters from the original Harry Potter stories and the "wizarding world" remains entertaining -- it seems that stretching this sort-of-prequel into 3 separate movies feels a little too much like squeezing all the die-hard Harry Potter fans for all they're willing to spend. There are new characters and new sub-plots that are not especially needed. The first two movies ARE entertaining with great acting & great special effects & incredible sets ... I just hope that after the 3rd movie in this series is released, any future "wizarding world" entertainment will be in the form of just books by J.K. Rowling -- no more stretched-out movies.

    Pretty good movie.

    Written by the same author as the Harry Potter movies, and has some of the characters from the Harry Potter movies in it, but strangely enough, the Fantastic Beasts movies are made After the Harry Potter movies, but the storyline of these movies is set way before the Harry Potter movies. You can tell by Albus Dumbledore being a much younger man, without the huge white beard in these movies. But, they are both pretty good and interesting movies. There are some scary creatures and some violence in these movies, so not recommended for younger children.

    Fun Family Film

    Great acting, lots of excitement, awesome special effects, & a wonderful story. My family & I loved this. Good movie for the whole family. Nephews are 10 & 13 & they loved it.

    super fabulous

    this truly is a great movie it keeps true to the Harry Potter. Stories. And adds a lot of insight into all the beginning characters. That take place in Harry Potter's life and the life of his companions. It is full of excitement and also. Shows how he got involved with saving all of the fantastic beast. I truly love this movie, it would recommend it to everyone.Get this movie!It's a great family movie, watch it together and enjoy.

    Convoluted.

    Thought it would have been entertaining as the first, what a disapointment. Depp was miscast as Grindelwald, should have been some one with a very good British accent. Those who have read the books know that Grindelwald was a Durmstrang boy not a French one. I think this movie has set back the Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts franchise!
