    Useful, but not essential

    Hardly an essential, but if you like adding Apple bits to your collection then this item is useful and couldn’t be easier to use - which is the whole idea. Charge it up and take it on trips where you can’t or don’t want to take a charger plug and cables. Full retail price is steep, but if you pay around £60 you’ll get Apple design and build at a reasonable price. Again, not an essential for most and I could happily live without it, but it’s a clever bit of kit.

    The good the bad and the ugly

    The good news is that it works as intended ! It is not designed to recharge the battery as such put to extend the battery life during actual usage during the day or night. Works great with Iphone 13 mini ! A perfect fit and gives you that all day battery life performance. The negative side is the size and weight of this thing. Since it has so little energy stored, you would expect it to be half the size and weight. It still fits the pocket when used on the mini but the weight is certainly notable ! The superb 13 mini suddenly becomes as heavy as a pro max. A plus side ive not seen mentioned is this.... In a few years when the battery is not performing as well as it did.... well fitting a new one of these is going to help greatly ! Assuming they are still around !!!!!

    Good product

    I didn’t used it much yet but it works and I’m happy with price I have paid for it. I can be sure if it’s brand new, but was sealed so I guess it is. I recommend it

    Easy way to charge

    Super easy to use. Strong magnetic connection. My only issue is with the charging light. After you plug it in the light goes off and only tells you it’s charged when you unplug it.

    Not great

    It is now clear why this product was discontinued by Apple. The pack needs to be charged via a Mac charger as a phone charger simply doesn't do the job, which makes it less convenient to carry as it is difficult to recharge away from home. Initially I thought it wasn't working but it is OK. The Belkin 5K is more expensive but much better.
