Nice addition to a layout.
Crane operates...up and down and the hook does the same. With a little weathering, looks good. One thing. If the hook is not resting on the car, the whole thing will swing out on the curves and if you have tunnels that won't do.

It came early and it has tools that let my son move it
The car came early and come with some small tools that let my son raise and lower the boom which he really loves!

i figured with the preponderance of train wrecks with amtrack, i should make sure and have plenty of breakdown trains available on the amtrack passenger service on my new layout.
