Fantastic Model
Tamiya! Definitely one of the top model kit makers today. This is an amazing kit with a very high level of detail and loads of extras. Removable engine, engine trailer, photo etch parts etc etc. The tolerance and fit of everything is second to none. Such an enjoyable kit to build. The only gripe I have is that the engine exhaust and associated panels are not accurately portrayed. I modified mine by cutting/separating the parts in question and carefully sanded and polished until I had a good representation of the real thing. The panels in question are the "bathtub" and "doughnut" . I believe the reason why they did it this way is because the doughnut panel would be way too thin to mold. The real one is incredibly thin as well. After I sanded it to fit over the exhaust nozzle and carbon fiber ring it was about. 015-. 020" thick. Anyway,minus that, it's perfect. Up up and away
Did a job in NC for the A.N.G, Swamp Foxes. Great bunch of people in there IT dept who bent over backwards to assist me in my mission and make sure I had fun. The best Viper around
The best Viper in any scale! LOT OF DETAILS and extras from Tamiya like interchangeable weapons, movable cockpit, radome and fully detailed engine for display. Remove before flight straps and the box is engineered to be a case for the finished model in case you want to show it in a contest or simply move safely somewhere else
