Presentation is true to the play as presented on Broadway. The production is well filmed and captures the angst of the time when AIDS was looming over the lives of so many. It is sad, but also celebrates the strength that the characters muster to live out their lives. The "family relationship" that is portrayed here is true to the times when friends were the sole source of support. I was pleased with the honesty of the story line which dealt with tragedy while celebrating the humanity of the characters. It is not all sadness as it is sprinkled with welcome humor.
