A popular study Bible now available in this enlarged type edition., E. W. Bullinger's exhaustively researched study Bible A direct descendant of the great Swiss reformer, Johann H. Bullinger, E. W. Bullinger was a life-long scholar and writer. He studied at King's College, London, from 1860 through 1861 and was ordained in the Church of England in 1862. In 1867 he was appointed to the position of clerical secretary for the Trinitarian Bible Society, a post he would hold until his death. The Companion Bible by Bullinger was released in six parts, beginning in 1910, and Bullinger's identity as author of the notes and editor was purposely left off the title page. The introduction notes: "To the same end this Bible is not associated with the name of any man; so that its usefulness may neither be influenced nor limited by any such consideration; but that it may commend itself, on its own merits, to the whole English-speaking race." The text of The Companion Bible is the Authorized Version (KJV). Bullinger's notes relied upon many sources from the biblical studies of that era, particularly the emerging archaeological and linguistic discoveries of the late 19th century. Notes within the text of this 2,176 page, one-volume study Bible give valuable insights into the original Greek and Hebrew languages. Alternate translations, explanations of figures of speech, cross-references and an introductory detailed outline of each book and chapter are among the many features which Bible students, pastors, and seminarians will find helpful.     the best Bible ever printed.

    RATE AND REVIEW The Companion Bible: Enlarged Type Edition, Bullinger, E. W., Very Good Book, the best Bible on the market. If one wants to unlock the mysteries and what the meanings really are, just get one of these and a old Strong's Concordance. I bought the enlarged print because at times my eyes don't always see correctly.

    Level of detail not found elsewhere!

    Product arrived in excellent, brand-new condition. Typeset is easy to read and most compelling is the section of 198 appendices at the end of the book. Timelines and charts are very detailed and most compelling in their detail and comprehensiveness. Explanations are clear. A valuable addition to my library.

    Advanced Biblical Research

    It is well put together and a solid heavy Bible and the research information in this 1922 copyright Bible is ahead of its time… the revelations in this is astounding … E. W. Bullinger is no doubt a Bible Scholar to say the least… I would only highly recommend t this to a more advanced student of the Covenants… AKA Biblical Text Research and Biblical Historian… He uses a lot of Archeological Evidence and Findings in his Study Notes… He was a Hebrew Scholar and Ancient Greek Scholar.. he knew the languages that these ancient texts were scribed into.

    A Most Excellent Study Bible

    Excellent study Bible that surpasses any other I have seen. Explanations on practically every verse of the Bible through the meanings of the original words of the Greek and Hebrew Texts. The back of this volume contains 198 Appendixes which reflect the overall overwhelming amount of information contained in this wonderful study Bible. This Bible is based on the King James Version of the Scriptures and was completed over 100 years ago by E. W. Bullinger a master of the Greek and Hebrew languages. This volume is printed as a facsimile of the original 1922 edition. I recommend this highly to any serious student of the Word.

    If you would like to take your bible study deeper, then The companion bible is the bible for you. It has Hebrew and Greek words that cause the reader to check out the writings in the original language whereby the Word of God will come to life...The 198 appendix gives you more of an in-depth look in to Hebraisms, Greek Medifors, figures of speech, the acrostics, customs of the times and much much more... Fantastic for the deeper student...
