I first watched Bilko, the Charming Goldbricker as a Kid and my Dad used to let me stay up late to watch the show. This compilation of classic episodes are superb. My favourite eps (Doberman's Sister, The Eating Contest & The Twitch) are on this disks and i can tell you they still make me laugh out loud. Like i always say you just can't beat the classic TV Comedies. Well worth getting if you are a fan of the Phil Silvers Show. In fact for anyone new to this show. SGT BILKO, A TRUE ALL TIME CLASSIC COMEDY SHOW.
What is there not to like about Sgt Bilko? It`s a role that Phil Silvers was born to play, and has given him immortality for one of the best comedy shows of that generation. The fast talking Bilko, who`s only interest in the army was scheming to see how much money he could make from various ideas that had absolutely nothing to do with army life, rules or regulations. A truly classic show with a wonderful ensemble cast including his lambs to the slaughter platoon and of course his fantastic long suffering, exasperated commanding officer, the hilarious Colonel Hall. Very good
