Finally A good one
Pretty cool well made game. It has the essence of Zelda from NES with a advanced twist. I like how the special moves aren’s a multiple series of button taps like Castlvainia and the characters each have unique moves and characteristics. The puzzles are fun to figure out it advances well where your not repetitively trying to gain materials for a long time for just a slight armor or weapon advancement. Armors weapons items should be more discovered treasure items rather than monotonous build your own like on the elder scrolls has become. Very sexy girl character to play reminds of Rin from ancients gates. Would rather have it more like that with just a singular character rather than online type gaming where your teammates beat you to the goal. Multiple characters like Dragons Dogma sucks in that regard but at least its just one item bag and not jockeying junk around to create elixirs armor or weapons. I think games should be more offline where pedophiles cant play with children and have it more like Fallout 4 where you have building blocks to build your own style of encampment or bases. Thats kinda fun and rewarding like you built part of the game yourself. Excellent job in making this open world type game. I must say one the best on ps4 after Fallout 4 where you can build your own forts! I cannot speak highly enough of Ys VIII
I love Ys VIII. It is easily in my top 5 of all time and maybe even in my top 3. I will admit, it’s a bit of a slow start, but once you get through the first hour, the game just takes off and stays amazing for the rest of the way out. The story is beautiful, tragic, heartwarming, and bittersweet. I honestly felt sad to say goodbye to this cast of characters when I finished. I know I’ll follow Adol in other Ys adventures, but I would totally buy a spin-off with any of the main party and even some of the NPCs. The Ultimate Action RPG!
I am about 80% of the way through the game and let me tell you...Ys8 is one of the finest games I have played from the current generation of games. It truly is the ultimate Action RPG with outstanding gameplay, an epic story, memorable characters, and one of the finest soundtracks out there.
