Airfix Armstrong Whitworth 1/72 scale kit
Excellent 1/72 scale model kit of this famous early WW2 British bomber. Molded in grey plastic, non brittle with fine panel lines. The parts have no flash and fit together with precision. The instructions are colour guided, clearly illustrated and easy to use. The clear parts, eg canopies and turrets are reasonably good molds. Decals are good but limited in choice. My only criticism is the slightly complicated fuselage assembly, three parts longitudinally instead of the traditional two. However, the method used does rule out one seam line and any extra sanding. New tooled kit well worth a look
The kit is one of the newly tooled airfix models and is of a high quality. It builds up well and has good interior detail. It comes with two options, one in all over black and one in black underside and brown and green upper surfaces.
