Filthy Note was formed by Bam Margera and Viva La Bam producer Tim Glomb as a new business venture dedicated to the creation and distribution of music and video content. The launch of Filthy Note is a direct result of Bam's desire to promote and expand the horizons of the bands he truly loves. With that in mind, the venture is funded, operated and promoted by Bam himself. VAINS OF JENNA (Falkenberg, Sweden/Los Angeles) was offered a chance via MySpace to play the world famous Hollywood Whisky-A-Go-Go in the summer of 2005. The six month old Vains of Jenna, all in their early twenties, decided to spend thousands to fly to California to play the event, not knowing a soul in LA. They played during the day to a small crowd but a seasoned rock vet knew they had what it took. Four days later they recorded a 4 song EP with ex-Guns and Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke. The following few months saw them hanging on the Sunset Strip playing shows and giving passer-bys a Motley Déjà vu straight from the 80's. Fast forward to July 2006 where Bam Margera saw them play another LA gig. Just 15 minutes into the Vains of Jenna set he knew he had to sign them. Within four weeks Bam started Filthy Note Records and the debut full length Lit Up / Let Down was mixed and mastered.
