Genesis explained by seasoned man of reason
Dr. Henry Morris is not your typical commentator on Biblical truths. He was a college professor of engineering. He is thorough in his analysis of passages in Book of Genesis, and reaches his conclusions after careful consideration of all sides of any argument. He has brought to light things that I never even considered before reading this book. Although I have not read the entire book, everything I have read so far only makes me desire to read more. The author is obviously extremely conservative in his beliefs in the Genesis account of creation, with which I agree with him more than 99% of the time. Many times he will present others' points of view on a subject, without undue criticism of their differing viewpoint. This book should be read by all serious students of the Bible, especially those who will attempt to teach others, or preach to others. Excellent resource for those wanting to understand Genesis
This is a great book for those wanting to get a more in-depth understanding of Genesis. Dr. Morris does a great job helping the reader understand the words, phrases, and clauses that make up what we read in the book of beginnings. While I have been to seminary and studied Genesis, Dr. Morris' work on this book helps me explore beyond what I learned while helping me to recall the lessons I learned in class. Compelling, written in understandable language.
Written in narrative style, easy to understand, conclusions based upon current science. Coverage of Genesis chapters 1-11 is a compelling defense of the Biblical creation story. No one + nothing = everything? Evolution theory would have you believe this. Does your common sense agree? "The Genesis Record" provides a believeable and science-supported foundation for your personal worldview on creation.
