There have been reports of sudden attacks by large, hideous insects. Entire islands and cities disappeared. No one knew precisely what happened, because no one survived to tell. As years went by, scientists looked for ways to explain this phenomenon, but all they learned was that the creatures would be back in twenty-five years. Where were they coming from? What is their purpose? Can you stop them before it's too late? You are about to find out in Body Harvest, a 3D action-adventure that has you trying to save the planet from alien infestation. <br><br>You play the role of Adam Drake, a man encased in Bio-Mechanical Armor with a helmet that doubles as a communications device, a backpack that serves as an unlimited storage receptacle, and a 12mm semi-automatic pistol with endless ammunition. Playing from a third-person perspective behind your character, you must take on the various forms of insects populating the world.<br><br>Body Harvest is composed of five areas covering 1,000 virtual square miles. As an added twist, the areas are from different times (1916 Greece, 1941 Java, 1966 America, 1991 Siberia, and 2046 Alien Homeworld), so players will need to travel through history to stop the cycle of violence. Besides finding the root of the infestation, you'll also solve puzzles, converse with local citizens, enter buildings, and gather items to assist in your adventure. Find one of over 60 vehicles to drive or fly as you prepare to save mankind. Body Harvest supports the Rumble Pak for vibration feedback and offers three save files to store progress, high scores, and hidden artifacts.

    Great Game, So-so controls

    For some reason I can't find anyone to tag team this game with me. Is it because the game is not as great as I feel about it? Well, idk. The only real complaint I have with this game would be the excessive bare space in the environments and the inverted shooting. Otherwise, I am a die hard fan of this one honestly

    Classic that holds up...kinda...

    Body Harvest has been called the precursor to the G.T.A. line of games, and in way that's correct. This game spans over 100 years, five areas in the past, all in an attempt to prevent aliens from harvesting the human race. You play as a Super Soldier, and since the game is non-linear, you can go anywhere and do anything! The graphics are early 3-d polygons, so its a bit rough around the edges. All in all, this game is pretty cheap and can deliver hours and hours of just plain fun!

    An old but fun gem

    One of the better 64 games mainly because of the open world environment. You can enter buildings and interact with containers as well as npcs. Vehicles are in the world to be used at your disposal. An early 3D GTA style game where you save people from insectoid aliens. A must try or replay for Nintendo 64. Controls take some getting used too. Otherwise, good game recommended.

    GTA Premie :-)

    I've always loved this game. Made by the same people who ended up making Grand Theft Auto later on. Cool graphics, somewhat extensive platform that you can use any weapon or vehicle you find. You can go into any building you come across & some are actually needed to be. Great n64 title. A rare gem actually. :-)

    Retro GTA style time traveling alien invasion action game with rpg elements

    Sure the graphics are a sludgy mess with odd controls and a problematic save system but seeing the DNA of what the grand theft auto series would later become is fascinating. It’s a hugely ambitious semi-open world alien invasion action game with tons of vehicles to pilot and light rpg elements. Way ahead of its time.
