Jane Austen’s beloved Elizabeth Benning comes visiting modern London in the "Lost In Austen" DVD that is a contemporary adaptation of Austen’s 1813 classic “Pride and Prejudice” for the ITV network. In this romantic fantasy miniseries, Jemina Rooper who portrays Amanda Price, an ardent fan of Jane Austen’s novels meets the protagonist of her favorite novel and through a secret portal enters the 18th century household of the Bennings. Her romantic liaison with Elizabeth’s love interest, Fitzwilliam Darcy and her interactions with all the characters from the novel form the premise for the "Lost In Austen" series. With actors Alex Kingston, Hugh Bonneville and Elliot Cowen essaying pivotal roles, this DVD boasts of some big names from British television. Besides 4 exciting episodes, this romantic fantasy features bonus material such as an exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and promos. a" true" fairy tale
Get your cup of tea and your scones ready and ENJOY...I loved this highly whimsical very well made movie...truly if your a Austen fan,its a daydream come to life...one we've all had of Mr Darcy,going back in time and being in one of her books.... a must for a "chick flick" library.

Wonderfully warm, long, chick flick.
The cover blurb calls this film "effortless" enjoyment, which is not correct. It is a three tissue chick flick. My view is that very good movies always seem to be over too soon, while not so good ones are too long. This film is quite long, taking the time to work through its imaginative plot thoroughly, and it is very good, developing characters who are worth getting to know, Somewhere between "Kate and Leopold," "Being John Malkovich," and "Pride and Prejudice," it's a warm and wonderful experience.

Fun with Classic Literature Theme
If you know Jane Austen and like Pride and Prejudice, you will likely see the humor in this clever interpretation which features a "trading places" paradigm. DVD and video quality were sharp and clear.

Brilliant, fresh spin on classic story
The DVD cover came damaged, but it did not affect the DVD itself. I’ve always loved this miniseries and wanted to own it and the price was decent. The characters are engaging, the story is sweet, funny, sad and you can’t just watch one episode!

Charming version of a Jane Austen book
Different story than Pride and Prejudice but really very engaging and unexpected. Excellent value for the price paid. I’ve seen many of the Pride productions. This one really kept my interest.

"Lost in Austin" is a wonderful and romantically done movie and I wouldn't have even known about it if not for Cf Videos and Utube and help from a re
I never knew about this series and I love all things English Regencyso when I happened to see the Cf Vidio on Utube, which was beautiful, I just went on from there. I couldn't believe my luck in obtaining this actual video I found on Ebay along with the book. I really love watching the video and it was new and perfect.

Loved the Ending!
This movie was very cute and entertaining because the main character is unhappy with her life and goes back in time and takes the place of Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice. I recommend this movie and I especially loved the ending!

1st impressions in a new light.
Didn't realize it was 3hrs long, but I enjoyed every minute of it. If you love the traditional Jane Austen adaptions, you can't help but love this version. Very cutely done. Gave a lotta laughs.
