When you are watching this for the first time, remember when it was made and what the acting was like back then. Intriguing and relaxing
I like the series because it is well acted, you can actually hear the dialogue, unlike many modern plays. Michael Gambon makes a believable character with dry wit and many grey cells. The characters are well defiined and story lines clear. Absence of gratuitous violence - murders have taken place but are not 'in your face!" Great TV Series

Maigret
This really is a fantastic series. I watched this when it first came out but I forgot just how good it was. Many great actors involved and for me Mr Gambon is the perfect Maigret. The only drawback of this series is they didn't make more.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

great detective series
Faithful to the books and with a strong cast. The series is real treat. Whilst much of it was filmed in Hungary, it looks like Paris of the period.
