Not as good as it promised.
This book has some interesting ideas and new options, but ultimately, nothing changing enough or different enough to be of use to the average player. The better ideas of the book wound up in Pathfinder, anyway. I am not sorry I got it because it's a good part of my rebuilding collection of books, but it doesn't have much that is distinctly useful to me.

I haven’t read through all of this book yet but there are so many optional rulings, character options and information, this book should be included as a core book!

Collecting
It is another book I did not feel was worth buying back when it originally was published. Now, I need it to complete my Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition collection and regret not buying it back in the day.
