    Diabetes explained!

    Outstanding book! Type One Diabetes is a virtual "unknown" to doctors who continue to treat it as though they know what are talking about - This book is the only one written by a long time Type One Diabetic who is an M.D. and has practiced diabetic control for Type One for more than 40 years. It is excellent!

    Lots of recipes I can actually use. It isn't just about low carb, but specific carbs!

    Dr bernstein's info is much more than I got in Nursing school. As a newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic, I am able to keep my blood sugar controlled by his diet methods. Both his Diabetic Solution and the Diet book are essential for any diabetic.

    Great for TYPE ONE diabetes.

    Dr. Bernstein writes well, and writes from the perspective of being a TYPE ONE diabetic. His recommendation is extreme: stay away from all starchy and high glycemic carbohydrates. Even most fruits. I learned things I did not know from reading this book, but since my insulin and fasting blood sugar are only a little high, I will adapt his advice to fit my personal health profile.

    A must have resource for all diabetics.

    From a doctor/engineer with type 1 diabetes, Dr. Richard Bernstein has made it his mission to research and conquer this disease. All the facts are laid out straight forward. He is living proof at 86.
