Interesting story
Joi Lansing was an actress from the 50s and 60s. While she wasn’t top billing, she was talented and beautiful. This book, written by her lover, gives a different perspective on Joi, Hollywood, and other things. Joi Lansing died of cancer which she battled for several years . A great read about a very talented actress and performer!
When I ordered this book I had thought it would be a biography of Ms. Lansing's life from birth to death. As I read along I found it was a complicated very involved love story covering the last four years of her life up until her untimely death in August 1972. She was gorgeous and very talented! What a singing voice she had! This book is well worth the read as the author brings the story to you through her own words.

Warmhearted Memoir
Alexis Hunter has written a gentle and warm memoir of Joi Lansing. This life affirming story of love and loyalty written simply and with complete candor was obviously a work of love . What must have been a painful journey for the author has resulted in a beautifully honest book with warmth and graceful humor.
