I spent an hour on it, thoughtfully trimming off natural occurring pilling on this wool sweater. During that hour I smelled no smoke and I HATE smoke smelling clothing...absolutely detest smoke smell. Once again, I'm so glad you were able to launder the sweater and remove any unpleasant odor that you detected. Ultimately it worked out well. Kindest regards, Laura
