Worth every penny for the charge you get.
I've owned a CTEK MXS 5.0 for a few years and it's always done a perfect job in keeping an old vehicle,s battery and electrics in great condition. This MXS 3.8 seems to work just as well on a newer car that as not being used as frequently as is ideal, due to lock-downs and it means I can avoid a potential flat battery. The benefit of the CTEK looking after your car and battery with the battery in situ is a great feature and has never given me any problems except on this newer car, the remote battery terminal points are quite wide apart and the CTEK connecting cables limited length means it's a bit of a close stretch, but it works fine. This is my only reason for marking this well made, robust and efficient unit down by one star.worth every penny.

Efficient Battery charger and conditioner
This is neat and compact product, that is easy to plug up and use. The system of sensor lights provide a clear indication of the condition of the battery and the stage of the charging activity. It can be used safely to recharge a discharged battery and to maintain its condition when the vehicle is out of regular use even in frosty conditions. Suitable for car and motorbike batteries. Highly recommended by users, it comes with a 5yr warranty.

Does what it says on the Tin!
A battery charger should charge batteries, this it does. EBay's rating system only allows for yes/no to the question "Is it Good Value". There are many cheaper chargers out there, so maybe this unit is not "Good Value", but it is a quality piece of kit and I feel it is well worth the asking price. I have used a larger version of this charger for many years, and apart from the connector in the middle of the output cable failing, it has been faultless. I bought this smaller version as it can usefully charge smaller 12v batteries safely, this it does without any problems. It usefully has a 'stand-by' feature if you leave it powered up without being connected to a battery, my old unit did not have this feature. Very pleased with my new charger.

It would seem that the Swedish C-TEK Company has become the modern day 'Hoover' of the smart tender/battery charger world, and deservedly so. It offers a superbly made (if pricey) range of virtually foolproof products which come with simple, clear, and legible instructions, and useful quick connectors. Just buy the size that your battery needs. Perfect !

Expensive but worth it.
I purchased this smart charger on the strength of it's excellent reviews. There are many much cheaper alternatives on sale, but the CTEK is worth the cost. It maintains the battery of my classic car in peak condition during the winter months when it gets very little use, so that when I am able to use it I know that it will start instantly.

Good charger with feed back
Charger was as expected, easy to use, works well, I connected it to my MG in store to protect the battery life. Also used to give every day cars a good charge as not being used at the moment. A good product that gives you feed back during charge.

CTEK 3.8. Good bit of kit for peace of mind!
Charger arrived quickly and simplicity itself to set up on my Land Rover Freelander. My only slight criticism is that the lead from the charger to power socket could be longer. Otherwise it is keeping my battery nicely topped up while the vehicle isn’t being used very much.

BRILLIANT CHARGER
NEAT COMPACT AND EASY TO CONNECT AND DISCONNECT FOR VEHICLE USE. I WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT IT. THE GARAGE WANTED TO SELL ME A NEW BATTERY BECAUSE THE STOP START SYSTEM IN MY CAR DID NOT WORK AS THE BATTERY DID NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT CHARGE TO OPERATE IT WHEN MY CAR HAD BEEN STANDING FOR 2 WEEKS. NOW THE STOP/START WORKS NO MATTER HOW LONG THE CAR REMAINS UNUSED. IT ALSO HAS THE BENEFIT OF CONDITIONING THE BATTERY TO ENSURE LONGER LIFE.

Easy to Use to Keep the Car Ready.
Item is excellent,it is being used for two cars and keeping both batteries in good condition,it was rcommended by my daughter and so far I,m very happy with it.
