NotesDigitally re-mastered two CD edition of this rare live release from the Classic Rock/Pop/Jazz icons. Chicago LIVE IN JAPAN was recorded in June of 1972. The album features live versions of their hits and key album tracks from their early Chicago Transit Authority-era through to Chicago V, including "Make Me Smile," "Saturday in the Park," "Dialogue," "Beginnings" and more. Guitarist Terry Kath, keyboardist Robert Lamm and the trademark horn section are prominently featured throughout the Rock tracks "25 or 6 to 4," "Mississippi Delta City Blues," "I m a Man," and "Free." LIVE IN JAPAN was initially available only in Japan, then released on a limited scale by the band in the mid-90 's, but has been out of print physically for more than a decade.

Chicago in Japan Rocks!
Great two-CD package! So good to hear Terry Kath in all of his guitar and vocal glory. The audio quality is excellent, as is the tempo and energy of the band. Horns come through loud and clear. Especially awesome version of Ballet for a Girl in Buchannon. Overall a must listen for Chicago/ Terry Kath fans.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Ehhh...
I was hoping this was an improvement over Carnegie Hall. While the performances are more frantic, i swear this is a muddled mix. To me, the bass is turned up way too much. Also, I defy anyone who doesn't already know the words to State Of The Union, or Mississippi City Delta Blues to figure them out off this album. The bass just obliterates the vocals. Oh well, it does hold some charm, but not enough for me to say this is a vastly superior album to CH.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
